Helping parents unlock their full parenting potential and build better relationships with their children.

Navigating parenting twists and turns with Sarah Kipnes Therapy.

Has parenting been weighing you down, leaving you exhausted with very little left in your tank?

Are your kids pushing your buttons and your patience is quickly running out?

Do you feel guilty for wanting to take a break from your children when parenting is tough?

You are feeling overwhelmed with your parenting responsibilities and have days that you just want to pull the covers over your head.

You love your children unconditionally but have moments when you question your parenting abilities. You're struggling with behavioral issues, stressful family dynamics, or having difficulty relating to your child and it is leaving you feeling disconnected and you are not sure how to fix it.  You wish you could open a manual that tells you exactly how to handle each particular situation.  The patterns of behavior and conflict are becoming more obvious and you don’t know how to break them.  The impact on everyday life makes it challenging to do simple things like get your child to clean his room, go out to dinner without having a fight, or have your child share more than one word answers when you ask about their day. You're wondering how to change these patterns to build a closer relationship with your child.

It may feel impossible now, but you can have a peaceful home that fosters a good relationship with your child.

Therapy for parenting support can help you address the frustrating patterns of behavior with your child and how to approach those behaviors in a different way to elicit different results.

In our work together we will explore your child’s unique challenging needs and as well as delve into your own feelings about parenting- frustration, defeat, burn-out, self-doubt, guilt and possibly failure. You will gain insight into the possible reasons behind your child’s behaviors and learn how to communicate in a way that you are heard while getting the response you desire.

Our sessions are a safe space where you can be honest about your parenting struggles while not being made to feel judged or inadequate. If you are feeling like a “bad parent” or you are “doing everything wrong”, therapy can build your confidence in your abilities to succeed at one of the hardest jobs you will ever have. Together we will discuss strategies and practical tools that will address the specific concerns for you and your family dynamics, while staying aligned to your core values.

Therapy for parent support is available to all stages, from expecting a first child to navigating life with a teenager and into adulthood.  Collaboratively we will nourish the parent-child relationship to create a home environment where the family can thrive.
