  • It is important for your success that we are a good fit and the free 20-minute consultation will allow you to determine if I am the right therapist for you. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about my therapeutic style and approach during that consultation.

  • Whether this is your first time in therapy or you have tried it before, therapy works best when you are invested in achieving your goals. It is important for your success that we are a good fit. The free 20-minute consultation will allow you to determine if I am the right therapist for you.  To see if therapy is working for you, you can assess as we go to determine if you are making progress towards your goals and noticing improvements in your daily life and overall happiness.

  • Therapy is different for everyone. The goals we identify when you start therapy will help us estimate what timeframe will be beneficial to achieving success. The pace for reaching these goals is set by you. Some clients find they have met their goals in a few months while others choose to integrate therapy as regular, ongoing support. My therapeutic approach starts with meeting you where you are at in the process and I will help keep you on the path to accomplish your goals.

  • Online therapy is a convenient platform for accessing counseling from the comfort and privacy of your home, office, or wherever you feel is the most relaxing environment to focus on your needs. It eliminates transportation challenges and scheduling conflicts, allowing you to make appointments at times that work best for your lifestyle. You can also access a therapist anywhere in California, which allows for more options in choosing the right fit for you. Although I am based in Oakland, I can see clients online throughout California.

While online therapy is beneficial for many, some clients may require in-person counseling support based on the severity of their mental health needs. If this is the case for you, we will connect you to in-person therapy options in your area.

  • I recognize when you choose therapy you invest in your well-being, both with your time and finances. My fee is $225 for a 50-minute session, which is comparable to other Bay Area therapists. Sessions can occur either weekly or every 2 weeks.

While I don't bill insurance directly I can provide a superbill, which is a detailed invoice of the sessions that you paid for, which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. You may want to contact your insurance to learn about their out-of-network reimbursement options.

  • My commitment to you is to ensure your scheduled appointment time is dedicated and protected for your session. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your appointment start time, you will be charged the full session fee. Should you experience an unexpected and unavoidable scheduling conflict, we can discuss the possibility of rescheduling to avoid the cancellation fee based on availability. If you no-show for your appointment time you will be charged the full session fee (a grace period of 10 minutes will be given at the start of the session before a no-show fee will be applied).

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
